What We Believe
We believe that the Bible is God's word. It is historically reliable, authoritative and applicable to our every day lives.
We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is all loving, all knowing, all powerful and completely holy.
We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is both God and man and is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again, proving His victory.
We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the 'new birth' we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.
We believe that upon repenting of our sins and receiving the 'new birth' we are marked with a seal by God, the Holy Spirit, who lives and abides in us.
We believe the Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts to encourage, guide and minister to one another. The spiritual gifts are also given as a proof for unbelievers that they may see that God is in us, encouraging them to receive 'new birth' for themselves.
We believe we should be water baptized as a public declaration of our faith and repentance in obedience to Jesus.
We believe we need the baptism of the Holy Spirit for power and evangelism.
We believe that our response to the Lord Jesus Christ will determine our eternal destination. We will either live together with Him or face the consequences of rejecting the gift of salvation in hell.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.
We believe our center of attention and ultimate pursuit should be on God, loving and knowing Him more. This is demonstrated in our lives through worship, praise, and acts of kindness in our community. We believe our love of God needs to be seen by our love and care for others.
We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and prosperous lives, be the light and salt of the earth, be a refuge of hope and justice, be enabled and equipped to help others more effectively.
We believe we are God's children, unconditionally loved by Him.
